Bruce is hard at work on his next entry in his Beatles Album Series titled Beatles For Sale to Help! As with the previous books in the series, Bruce shall include dozens of fan recollections. This has been an important part of the books from the very start. After all, the first book in the series is titled The Beatles and Sgt. Pepper, a Fans’ Perspective.

Bruce previously solicited fan recollections of the Help! film, album and single. If you have already sent us your recollections of the movie and records, there is no need to resend. He already has plenty to choose from. At this time, he is looking for your memories of the following:

• The British Beatles For Sale album;
• the “I Feel Fine” single;
• the Capitol Beatles ’65 album;
• the “Eight Day’s A Week” single;
• the “Ticket To Ride” single;
• the Capitol Beatles VI album;
• the “Yesterday” single; and
• the Beatles September 12 Ed Sullivan Show appearance.

Because Bruce wants to print as many recollections as possible, please do not provide a detailed analysis of the album or single. Our readers will be more interested in initial reactions and how each affected you and your friends. As Bruce likes to say: “Keep it short but brief!” We will not be able to include long fan recollections that cover all of these releases. It is best that you limit your stories to one of the above unless there is a direct connection, such as watching Paul sing “Yesterday” on The Ed Sullivan Show with your parents, and your mother or father buying you the single shortly thereafter. 

If you have pictures from 1965 of yourself with any of these records or going with friends or family to see Help! in the theater, please send them. We do not need contemporary photos of you with your collection.

While we will not be able to print all of the submitted fan recollections in the book, many of those that do not make the cut will appear in a digital supplement and in the digital edition.

Due to time constraints and printer’s deadline, Bruce is requesting that your fan recollections be sent to him no later than March 5. Not only will this give Bruce more time to select a well-balanced group of fan recollections for the book, but also make your thoughts more spontaneous than if you spent weeks working on it.
